Chapter 13

An unexpected visit.

 

 

One month later.

Wolpy, Snow, Raven and Evanor were training to use their power, while Landsoul, Hillio, Sansenite, Dawnsoul and the three young Vick, Dambiu and Patch were watching them. All the wolves were in a clearing, not far from the den site. Landsoul, because of her growing belly, was restrained to do nothing too hard for her. Wolpy, after a lot of training, was now able to use his Demon power without any difficulties. He was destructing his target with success when suddenly, Pazu arrived in a hurry.

"Alert intruder!!" He shouted.

"What?!" Hillio said. "Where and who?"

"A black and red she-wolf just entered our territory!" Pazu replied. "Oh crap, she followed me!"

Hillio looked where Pazu was pointing his paw and saw this famous she-wolf.

"Blackfire?! But what are you doing here?!" He exclaimed surprised.

The female just said one thing:

"Hillio!!"

And then she jumped on Hillio and kissed him lovingly. She said next:

"I missed you."

"I missed you too my dear." Hillio replied. "But what are you doing here?"

Blackfire lifted herself from Hillio and sat in front of him.

"Hillio, I have a important news to tell you." She began, smiling widely.

Hillio lifted and watched Blackfire very seriously.

"I'm pregnant!" She announced.

Hillio opened wide his mouth, unable to say anything.

"Congrats you two!" Wolpy said coming near the couple. "I didn't know you and Hillio were so close."

"Hillio... was very gentle with me. And I love him for that." Blackfire replied.

"That's wonderful news Blackfire. I'm happy for you two." Landsoul said. "By the way, I'm pregnant too, so like that, we're two."

"You're pregnant? Congrats for you!" Blackfire replied. "I hope our cubs will be good friends."

"We hope that too!" Wolpy said smiling. "By the way, how are Bryte and Racher?"

"Oh, they together again now. And they're planning to make some pups during the coming winter." Blackfire replied.

"I'm happy for them. I knew they were made for each other." He replied. "By the way, Hillio seem a little pale."

"Hillio, you're alright?" Sansenite asked.

"I... I'm gonna be a father." Hillio replied.

"Aww, I was sure you'll be happy. I love you Hillio." Blackfire said, rubbing her head on his chest. "By the way, Amaranth, Takhy and Fenrir accompanied me. But it looks like I lost them on the way."

"We're here!" Takhy said, emerging from some bushes.

The white female, Fenrir and Amaranth joined the others in the clearing. But when Amaranth saw Snow, she stayed shocked.

"M... Mom?" She asked.

Snow sighed.

"Hello Amaranth."

Everybody looked the two female. Then, Wolpy asked to Snow:

"Wait a minute, Amaranth... is your daughter?"

"It is a long story Wolpy." Snow replied.

"Mom!!" Landsoul shouted.

Snow looked at her.

"I have a sister?!" Landsoul asked choked.

"She's my little sister?!" Amaranth asked.

"A very long story." Snow sighed.

 

The group of wolves gathered around Snow, and she began to tell her past story.

"It was before I became blind. I was one of the alpha of Logan pack, and I was in love with a wolf who was a Guardian Angel too. It's him who taught me everything about our power, and about the prophecy. We had a daughter together, you, Amaranth. Amaranth grew up, and became a beautiful she-wolf. But then, Gracier arrived at Logan with her brother Treavor and her young daughter Jinny. And Gracier was pregnant. The family of Gracier is a Demon family, but they didn't even know it. Amaranth and Treavor fell in love. But it's at this time my mate discovered that Treavor was a Demon. The Shadow Wolves began to come near Logan territory. My mate knew what could happen if Treavor and Amaranth had puppies. He decided to sacrifice himself to exile Treavor far from Amaranth."

"It's when dad died." Amaranth said. "He attacked Treavor and Treavor killed my dad. This day, I lost my father, and my mate was exiled."

"After that, I confessed everything to Amaranth, and she hated me for never telling her the truth earlier." Snow said. "I let her at Logan and I went on my way, alone. I was blind when I first met Alphy. I was alone and desperate, but Alphy took me into his pack, and taught me how to live without seeing. Alphy knows about Amaranth and my first mate and pack."

"This is very sad." Dawnsoul said. "All of that because of your powers and form. I think it's unfair."

"I agree with Dawnsoul." Sansenite said. This is a sad story you have here Snow."

"So, the love between a Demon and a Guardian Angel was here before Landsoul and me were both born." Wolpy said. "And Snow didn't want to do the same mistakes she already made with her first daughter. You let me and Landsoul love each other. But you had to tell us this story! We should know what would happen to us and our puppies."

"I know! I was stupid!" Snow replied crying. "I only wanted to protect you, and I failed. All this crap is my fault."

"Mom, please, don't cry!" Landsoul said, approaching her mother. "You just wanted to do your best as a mother."

"I'm a bad mother." Snow said.

"A bad mother don't care about her pups. In a way, it's what you did with me, but you did this to protect me. And I thank you for that." Landsoul said, giving her mother a hug.

Amaranth came and hugged Snow too.

"And you gave up your whole life for me. Thank you mom." She said.

"I love you both, but I don't even know what my second daughter looks like, and not even what her father looks like." Snow said.

"But you don't love us for what we look like." Landsoul replied. "You love us because a good mother must love her pups. It's what make you a good mother. And I love you too mom."

Wolpy approached his stepbrother.

"Maybe we should do that with Urten, don't you think Sansenite?" He asked with a smirk.

"Yeah, maybe." Sansenite replied, grinning back at his brother.

"Myself, I abandoned my son to flee." Raven said.

"Don't say that mom!" Wolpy replied. "You did that to protect me and Landsoul. And I'll never get mad at you for this."

"This guy remind me his mother when she was young." Todd said.

Evanor raised her paw.

"No!! Don't you dare touch me, you and yours filthy paws!" He told her before she could do anything to him.

"Hurg, I need to throw up." Blackfire suddenly said.

"Come here my dear." Hillio said walking near some bushes.

And the two wolves disappeared behind the bushes.

"Tell me Raven," Landsoul started. "How long it will be until I give birth to my pups?"

"I think maybe two or three weeks." Raven replied.

"Are you sure the puppies are in good health?" Wolpy asked.

"If the mother is good, the puppies are good too." Raven said.

"I'm sure they're alright." Dawnsoul said. "I feel them grow. I'm sure they'll be as healthy as their parents."

"And you Dawnsoul, did you already plan to find love?" Landsoul asked.

Dawnsoul blushed and Sansenite looked at her, worried.

"Hey Land, don't you think we can ask the same thing to Sansenite?" Wolpy said slyly, smirking.

In his turn, Sansenite blushed furiously. Wolpy and Landsoul looked at each other and understood what they each knew.

"You don't have to ask me something like that!!" Sansenite suddenly yelled. "I'm the future alpha, and you're on MY future territory, so, NEVER ask me something like that again, is it clear?!"

All the wolves around were surprised by his reaction.

"NOW, I have some more important thing to attend to!" He said then, leaving.

All the wolves watched him leave. Then, Dawnsoul said:

"I don't really know what to reply to this question, but I have to tell this: I just want someone who will really love me for who I am. And... I'd like to have puppies too."

Wolpy thought:

"I know exactly who want the same thing."

"Alright everybody!" Raven said. "It's time to stop the training and to return to the den site to eat."

And so the wolves of Wolpy's little pack said goodbye to Gangvar's wolves and returned to their lair. After a big dinner, Landsoul asked to Wolpy:

"Tell me Wolpy, Sansenite is in love with Dawnsoul, right?"

"Yes, he is. But he doesn't have the gut to tell her." Wolpy replied.

"I think Dawnsoul needs someone. Someone like Sansenite. We could talk to her about it?"

Wolpy sighed.

"I was sure you'd say something like that."

"If you didn't know, Dawnsoul was in love with you before." She said.

"What!? Dawnsoul loved me?" He exclaimed, surprised.

"Yeah. But when you told her you were with me, you broke her heart. But don't worry, I spoke to her and I made things clear between us."

"I didn't know she loved me. I made her suffer. I'm such a bad wolf." Wolpy said, lowering his head in shame.

"You couldn't know! It's not your fault. And, that way, we can be together now. You made your choice, and we must respect your choices." Landsoul said.

"You're right. I know why I love you. Thank you dear." He said, a little cheered up by his mate's wise words.

"No problem my love." Landsoul replied kissing his cheek.

Wolpy looked at her a long time.

"By the way, it's maybe time we think about some name." Landsoul said.

"Yeah. I know how we'll do that. Please Land, lay down." He said.

She laid down on the ground, and Wolpy came to her and put his right front paw on her swollen belly.

"I feel them punching inside your belly." He said then.

"I feel them all day long." Landsoul said bored. "I'm so fat."

"You're not fat my dear. And I love you the way you are."

"You're saying you love me when I'm fat?!" Landsoul growled.

"NO! I didn't say that!" Wolpy replied, panicked. "I meant to say I love you for what you are inside."

"Sooooo You love me only because I'm the fat mother of your pups!" She snarled angrily.

"Please Landsoul, don't say such things! Don't say what I didn't want to say. You're not fat!" He replied.

"Moreover you thought it!! What I'm I doing with someone like you!!"

Wolpy stayed shocked. Landsoul suddenly understood what she just said and lowered her ears.

"Oh my god, what am I saying? Please, forgive me Wolpy, I... I wasn't myself. I'm sorry." She said with tears in her eyes.

"Don't worry Land. I knew what it was. Mood swings. Your mother warned me." Wolpy said, nuzzling under her chin.

"I'm very sorry." She said crying. "I shouldn't have said something like that."

"Shh, it's nothing my dear. Calm down." Wolpy said licking her tears and her muzzle. "I knew it wasn't you who spoke."

"You're not mad at me?"

"Of course not! How can I be mad at someone like you. I love you Landsoul."

She snuggled on his chest.

"Aww, I love you too Wolpy." She said then.

They stayed together like that a while. Then, Wolpy said:

"Now, I think we can think about some name. What do you think about Horoubu?"

"Hmm, it's nice. And Makoto?"

"It's good too. Idon?"

"Mmh, yeah." Landsoul replied.

"And Hirai?" Wolpy said.

"It's great! Judai?" She said.

"Very good, I think."

"Kaylyn?"

"Yes, good. And what about Deegoe?"

"Yes, that's good! And Mayeki?"

"It's not bad. So now, we have eight names, four for girls, and four for boys." Wolpy said.

"I hope we will have at least a girl and a boy." Landsoul said.

"Me too. And I hope they will be safe, ant no one will come to take them away from us."

"You'll really protect them until you die?" She asked.

"Yes, I promise you, I'll protect them until my death. No one have the right to hurt our pups, no one!" Wolpy replied.

"I'm scared Wolpy."

"Don't worry Land, I'm here."

Landsoul came to him and rubbed her head on his chest.

"I love you Wolpy." She said.

He licked her head with tenderness.

"I love you Landsoul."

 

 

In the middle of the night, Wolpy sneaked out of his den and ran to Dawnsoul's den. When he was in front of her den, he called:

"Dawnsoul! Dawnsoul, are you here?"

Dawnsoul came out of her den half asleep.

"What are you doing here in the middle of the night, Wolpy?" She asked.

"I want to talk to you." He replied sitting. "Landsoul told me the truth about you."

"The truth?"

"Yeah... She told me you were in love with me, when we were young."

"Oh, this truth." Dawnsoul said, waking up fully.

"Yeah. And, now that I know this, I can't stop thinking. I mean, I was only an omega, why did you fell in love with someone like me?" Wolpy asked.

"Wolpy..."

Dawnsoul sighed.

"Wolpy, you're a good wolf. You are funny, smart, maybe a little coward, but you have the sense of the family. It's what I love in you Wolpy. You're always here for your family and for your friends, because you love them, and I know you'd do anything to make them happy."

She sighed again.

"My big brother was just like you." She said.

"Oh, your... big brother. I'm sorry Dawnsoul." Wolpy said, understanding what she could feel.

"You don't have to be sorry, Wolpy. You're a good wolf, and I'll always trust you... because you're my friend."

"You're my friend too Dawnsoul. You're my first true friend of all my life, and I thank you for this." He replied.

"I hope you will make Landsoul and your family happy." She said.

"Count on me for this." He said.

Dawnsoul approached Wolpy and hugged him.

"I'm glad you came back to us." She said.

"I'm glad to be here with my family and my friends." He replied.

Then, both wolves looked at each others with smile spreading on their face. There was a little spark in Dawnsoul's eyes. Wolpy noticed it, and decided to investigate it. He was so focused on it that he didn't see the female approach her head and muzzle closer to his, until she suddenly kissed him. He was taken aback, and quite surprised at himself when he found he actually liked it. But he was mated with Landsoul, and this kiss was wrong. He drew back from the kiss, and Dawnsoul let him do.

"So-sorry Dawnsoul, I-I can't..." He stammered, looking away.

The female giggled and said:

"Shh Wolpy. I understand. I just wanted to know what Landsoul stole to me. I'm not in love with you anymore. Consider it a friendly kiss."

"O-oh, uh, okay... Well, I guess you deserved that, at least." He said, feeling awkward.

"*giggle* Now, go back to your den. Landsoul needs you to warm her up." Dawnsoul said smiling.

"I go right now! Good night Dawnsoul!" Wolpy replied, running away.

"Good night Wolpy." Dawnsoul whispered back.

Then, the gray female came into her den and laid back down on the ground. A small tear flowed down from her closed eyes.

"Good night to you too big bro." She whispered in the night.
