Chapter 16

New goals, new troubles

 

 

The next day.

"Landsoul!" Wolpy called coming into his den.

Landsoul was cleaning the puppies with Dawnsoul helping her.

"What is it Wolpy?" The black and white female asked with a smile.

"I'm going to hunt with Sansenite, Bryte and Northwind. Do you want something special?"

"I want you to come back alive." She replied licking his muzzle.

"Don't worry, we will not go too far away. And Dawnsoul, do you want someone in the team to bring you something special?" He asked then.

"No thanks. Why do you ask such a question?" Dawnsoul asked.

"Nothing." Wolpy replied with a grin.

Then, he came near his pups and said:

"And you, how do you do?"

The three pups made some little whine and snuggled on Wolpy's paws.

"Hehehe, I love you too my little puppies." He said nuzzling and licking their little head.

Then he walked out of the den saying:

"Later Land, later Dawnsoul, later puppies!"

Landsoul and Dawnsoul watched him leave. Then, Dawnsoul told to Landsoul:

"You're very lucky to have someone like Wolpy. He is always kind."

"I'm really happy with him." Landsoul replied smiling. "And I think you should find someone too."

"Yes, but who?"

"But, by the way, I think, Sansenite is now the new leader of your pack. He surely needs someone to take care of him in the nights, don't you think?"

"What are you implying?" Dawnsoul asked, frowning.

"I just imply that Wolpy's brother is a young alpha who needs a mate." Landsoul replied. "Plus, I heard he had a little crush on you."

"You... You mean... So it's why..." Dawnsoul stammered, blushing, putting the pieces together.

"Yes, it's why Sansenite reacted like he did when Wolpy and I asked to Sansenite and you if you looked for a mate. Sansenite loves you, but he's too shy to tell you his true feelings."

Dawnsoul blushed more.

"I think it's cute from him." Landsoul added. "And I'm sure you can make a great couple."

"He loves me?" Dawnsoul finally asked.

"Yes. He said it a long time ago to Wolpy. I think he only needs a little push and one of you to make the first step and you'll be happy ever after." Landsoul replied, licking the head of her daughter.

"I see. Now, I understand why Wolpy asked that question earlier."

Suddenly, Racher and Jinny came into the den.

"I already told you I hate him!!" Jinny yelled to Racher.

"That's not true. I'm sure you like him, but in your own way." Racher replied.

"I HATE HIM!!" Jinny yelled again.

"Oh great." Landsoul said.

"Who does she hate?" Dawnsoul asked.

"I hate Northwind! But Racher implies that I love him and that I'll make a cute couple with him!" Jinny replied.

"Hmm, may be you don't like him, but on the other way, when he discovered his powers, I felt something very strong in his heart. And it looked like love." Dawnsoul said. "And I felt this love went for you."

"No one understand me?!" Jinny shouted.

"Jinny calm down!" Landsoul growled. "You afraid my pups."

"Maybe your pups can understand me better." Jinny said, laying in front of the pups. "Tell me pups, do you think Northwind loves me?"

The pups looked at each, and then they nodded.

"WHAT!!" Jinny shouted. "You little--!"

Landsoul jumped in front of her pups protectively, and she growled furiously:

"If you dare touch them, I'll personally make sure the whole pack punish you, even the omegas!"

Jinny lowered her ears, flattened on the ground and moved away carefully from the angered mother.

"Jinny, now you're an alpha, you have responsibilities, and one of those is to find a mate and have puppies with him." Landsoul said then.

"Ya know, Bryte and me expect to have our own puppies one day, and I'd like to see my sister have pups too. The future of our pack will be ensured like that." Racher said.

"I don't want to have puppies! I don't want to finish fat and ugly." Jinny replied. "And I surely don't want to have pups with Northwind. Urg."

"Okay, okay. It's your choice." Dawnsoul said. "But think about it: I was in love with Wolpy, but I never told him, and now, he is in love with Landsoul. If you don't go now, Northwind will end up getting tired of you, and you'll never have someone at your side. Never."

"That's true. Love is something very precious. If you don't care about it, you'll end your life alone and sad." Landsoul added.

"I'd prefer die alone rather than marry that little brat." Jinny replied.

The three females sighed.

"You're really a sad person Jinny." Landsoul said.

"Yeah. Even your aura look really poor." Dawnsoul added.

"Plus, you have no friends, and no one likes you." Racher added in her turn.

Jinny looked the three females in front of her. Then, she though:

"Maybe they're right. Maybe I'm a sad person, selfish, who no one likes. No, it's impossible. I'm the best she-wolf ever. No one can stand me."

Then, she left the den with a grin on her face. Landsoul, Dawnsoul and Racher looked at each other.

"You think it worked?" Racher asked to Landsoul.

"We'll see. I hope Wolpy will be able to persuade Northwind now. Northwind is the only one who can take care of her."

"As long as she doesn't understand what she miss, she'll not be able to use her powers." Dawnsoul said. "Her aura is too poor. She consider herself perfect, but she's not. It's dangerous for herself."

"I hope she'll be able to learn that." Racher said.

 

 

On the hunting territory, Wolpy, Sansenite, Bryte and Northwind were looking for some good prey to bring back to the pack. Since they were alone, Wolpy and Bryte decided to speak with Sansenite and Northwind about love.

"So Sansenite. When are you gonna tell Dawnsoul you love her?" Wolpy asked first.

"You're still on that story?" Sansenite growled.

"Ya know, I'm just trying to help you, and to help my best friend. Last time, she told she wanted to have puppies in the future. I think you should tell her now that you love her."

"You annoy me Wolpy."

"You know, if you wait too long, she'll find someone else." Bryte said.

"I know!!" Sansenite replied.

"And you Northwind? I saw you're good with Jinny."

"Jinny is very selfish. But since all these years, I learned a lot about her. And now that she can't touch me anymore, I'm greatly advantaged."

"You love her?" Wolpy asked.

"Of course I love her. I'm literally charmed by her azure eyes. I tried to show it to her, but she doesn't understand. I just try to protect her from her own selfishness, but she can't understand that."

"I think I have an idea." Bryte said. " If instead of telling her all the time she is selfish, you tell her on the contrary she is right to be selfish. Maybe she will find you more interesting, she will eventually love you. She will no longer want to do anything without you, and at this time, you'll make her realize she needs to change her behavior in order to keep you."

"It's a good idea. I think it can work." Wolpy said.

"I'll try it." Northwind said. "I'll do everything for Jinny."

"Otherwise, if you really love her now, it's because you love her like she is now." Sansenite said. "Maybe it's not her you have to change, maybe it's you."

"Mhh, he's right." Northwind said.

"I didn't think about that." Wolpy said. "And it comes from my brother who doesn't want to tell his feelings to the girl of his life."

"And about you now, Sansenite." Bryte began. "When do you--"

"SHUT UP!!" Sansenite yelled snarling.

"Sansenite!!" Calm down now! We're just talking." Wolpy said.

"I don't want to talk about that!"

"You know Sansenite, if you don't go now, you'll never have someone at your side." Northwind said. "See Daw--"

"Northwind!" Bryte said growling.

"Oops, I forgot." Northwind replied.

"Sansenite, you must know something about Dawnsoul." Wolpy said coming near his stepbrother.

"What?"

Wolpy sighed.

"I learned from Landsoul that Dawnsoul was in love with me, before I left the pack. But now that I'm with Landsoul, she's a little sad since I'm back."

"She... loved... you?" Sansenite said shocked.

"Yeah. She had a crush on me. But I spoke with her. She understands why I chose Landsoul, and she's happy for me and Land. But she needs someone who will love her, protect her, make her feel happy and make her a bunch of puppies. Sansenite, she's free now, don't miss this opportunity. You need her, and she needs someone like you."

"Wolpy is right. Dawnsoul is a great she-wolf, and you're a great wolf too. But if you don't go now, you'll lose her." Bryte said.

Sansenite sighed deeply.

"What should I do?" He asked then.

"Just tell her your true feelings. Do only that, and this will work." Wolpy replied. "Please Sansenite, do it. Dawnsoul is my best friend, and you're my brother. I want both of you to be happy."

Sansenite sighed again.

"I'll do it, Wolpy." He said then.

"Good. I'm sure everything will be alright. You're a good wolf, she will love you because you deserve it, like she deserves your love."

"Yeah, you deserve her buddy." Bryte added.

"By the way, did the Shadow Wolves stop their progress?" Northwind asked.

"No, they're still going toward us. I don't know if they really understand what they'll have to fight against. If only Alphy was still there with us, he could tell us..."

"So, can we hunt now? I think we lost enough time speaking." Sansenite said, annoyed again by all those useless talk.

"Yeah. I go hunt on the plain with Bryte, you and Northwind, go hunt in the forest. Good luck." Wolpy said.

"Good luck." Sansenite replied.

And the group separated.

 

 

Some hours later, Sansenite was looking for Dawnsoul, near her guard post. When he found her, he hid in a bushes and looked at her during a long time, thinking about what he could tell her. What Sansenite didn't know was that Dawnsoul knew he was here, watching her. She knew he often did that the previous day, so today, she asked a new friend to assist her into making Sansenite finally ask her out. Another wolf from the Alpha pack suddenly walked out of some bushes and approached her. It was Stouph.

"Hey beauty. What are you doing here toute seule?" The French wolf asked.

"I'm doing my job. I'm guarding. Why?" Dawnsoul replied, faking being suspicious.

"I think a beauty like you shouldn't stay toute seule like that in the middle of the forest. Maybe you're cold, may I warm you?" He asked, flirting with the she-wolf.

Sansenite began to get furious about that.

"No thanks. I'm warm enough." Dawnsoul replied to Stouph, not interested in his offer.

"You sure?" Stouph asked again.

"Yes I'm sure. Leave me alone please." She said, faking looking uncomfortable about the situation.

"Oh please." He insisted.

Suddenly, Sansenite walked out of his hiding and placed himself between Stouph and Dawnsoul and growled:

"She told you to leave her alone!"

"What are you doing here?" Stouph asked, faking being surprised.

"I'm doing my job of alpha. I take care of the members of my pack. And you annoy one of its member. Leave, now!"

"I'm not at your--"

"NOW!!" Sansenite snarled angrily, showing his fangs with a demon look in his eyes.

This afraid Stouph who took a step back, before turning and disappearing in the bushes. Then, Sansenite turned toward Dawnsoul and said:

"This little brat is very stubborn. I will spea--"

He stopped talking when he saw Dawnsoul's glance on him and he blushed.

"What?" He asked.

"Thank you Sansenite. You helped me. I was beginning to be scared, and you came just in time." Dawnsoul replied.

"It was just my duty as an alpha." He said, blushing more.

"No, it wasn't only that. I'm not stupid Sansenite. I see it's something else." She said, sitting close to him.

It wasn't hard to see that Sansenite was very uncomfortable and embarrassed. He looked at her eyes, and he saw all the love she had in her pale green beautiful eyes.

"Dawnsoul I..." He began.

"Yes?" She said.

"I..."

"You want to tell me something Sansenite?" She asked, slowly approaching her muzzle from his.

He took a deep breath and finally looked straight into her eyes and said:

"Dawnsoul, I love you. Since I know you, I love you. You're the most beautiful and wonderful she-wolf I ever met, kind and generous. Will you make me the great honor to become my mate?"

Dawnsoul blushed, and then giggled.

"It's all I was waiting for." She whispered in his ear.

He looked at her, confused, before she suddenly kissed him. It was the most heavenly thing they ever done, and they loved it. Then Dawnsoul ended the kiss, looked at him straight in the eyes and said:

"I'll be honored to become your mate."

"Aww Dawnsoul."

Sansenite kissed her again, a long and loving kiss. After all these years of waiting, he was finally with the female he wanted. It was the most beautiful day of his whole life. He was happy, and he'll never let anyone take his happiness away. All he wanted now was to please his mate, and to do everything to make her happy.
